What is the Role of International Chairman?

All wheels have a hub, a connector holding together the spokes, each being essential to the wheel’s proper function. Lynn Green’s role as International Chairman of Youth with a Mission can be illustrated in exactly this way.

Lynn’s primary purpose is ensuring organisational integrity, introducing systems and processes that enable YWAM to comply with the word of the Lord. He strengthens accountability within the mandate of the Global Leadership Team (GLT), identifying priorities and ensuring these are implemented and delivered. His role also includes maintaining proper communication between the different decision making bodies in YWAM.

The communication aspect of Lynn’s role is executed through convening the GLT and the leadership groups that serve it and ensuring these are well managed; disseminating and implementing the decisions of the GLT; he is ultimately responsible for the vision and values that are foundational to YWAM.

As the beginning of the chain of authorisation and managing the International bodies that execute these mandates, Lynn maintains the organisational integrity through legal structure overseeing the use of trade marks and logos, enforcing compliance and when necessary enforcing discipline and commissioning high level leadership.
